¿Queréis saber un secreto? La mejor época para viajar a Nueva York es en primavera y otoño, durante los meses de septiembre u octubre, o en abril y mayo, puesto que el clima se caracteriza por ser muy frío en invierno y muy cálido en verano. Sin embargo la Costa Oeste tiene unas temperaturas más suaves durante todo el año, por lo que siempre es un buen momento para recorrerla.
Pasar un día en Manhattan y disfrutar de las vistas de Broadway, Times Square o subir al Empire State Building son solo algunas de las cosas que nos harán situarnos en infinidad de escenarios de nuestros personajes favoritos. Es esta zona un lugar para aquellos que quieran aprender acerca de la influencia de la cultura afroamericana y el jazz. En contraste, en el Bronx podremos conocer el Fuerte Apache, la Avenida Grand Concord, la zona de South Bronx con sus grafitis y memoriales a pandilleros fallecidos y hasta veremos el afamado Estadio de los Yankees. ¿Sabíais que fue el primer campo de béisbol en ser calificado como estadio? Es una ciudad tan llena de vida e historia que no sabremos bien hacia dónde dirigir la vista y el tiempo se nos pasará volando. Desde luego, y como último apunte, es importante saber que la Estatua de la Libertad, un icónico Monumento Nacional fue regalo de Francia en 1886 para conmemorar el centenario de la Declaración de Independencia Estadounidense y ahora se ha convertido para un regalo en todos los sentidos para aquellos que la visitan. Pero si hay tiempo, no solo la ciudad es digna de visita. El estado de Nueva York es de los más bonitos de América, y puede llevarnos a través de las legendarias montañas Catskill hasta Niágara.

Antes hemos mencionado la Costa Oeste y es que es imposible no dudar ante la posibilidad de explorar la parte contraria del país, la de la temperatura agradable, las palmeras infinitas y los surfistas inundando las playas. Nos vamos a centrar en tres destinos en concreto porque podríamos estar todo el día hablando y no acabaríamos: Los Angeles, San Francisco y Las Vegas.
Ninguna nos son desconocidas y cada una esconde más secretos que la anterior deseando ser descubiertos. Los Angeles es la gran conocida como “La Ciudad de las Estrellas” y todo lo que veas allí se encargará de recordártelo. Imagínate comenzar el día en la sofisticada Beverly Hills y continuar hacia Hollywood, pasear por Hollywood Boulevard con su legendario Teatro Chino y la famosa Avenida de las Estrellas, para finalizar en el Downtown. Por si no es suficiente, ¿qué tal si vamos a Palm Springs? un oasis en el desierto famoso por sus manantiales termales no se encuentra todos los días. Continuamos el viaje hacia Las Vegas y será imposible no parar en el Gran Cañón. Un camino por la orilla sur bastará para ver una de las Maravillas del Mundo, resultado de millones de años de erosión, viento y agua con impresionantes paisajes de sombras y colores impenetrables. De Las vegas poco se puede decir que no sea conocido ya; es la ciudad de las luces y la Capital del Juego. Si quieres verlo, ¡tienes que vivirlo!
San Francisco es el destino ideal para finalizar, una de las ciudades más fotografiada, filmada y documentada del mundo con su seductora mezcla de historia y moderna sofisticación. Construida sobre colinas, la ciudad es la joya de la magnífica bahía a los pies de las mismas.
But wait, it doesn’t end here! Before we mentioned the West Coast and it is impossible not to doubt the possibility of exploring the opposite part of the country, the pleasant temperature, infinite palms and surfers flooding the beaches. We are going to focus on three specific destinations because we could be talking all day and we would not end up: Los Angeles, San Francisco and Las Vegas.
None are unknown to us and each one hides more secrets than the previous one wishing to be discovered. Los Angeles is the great known as “The City of Stars” and everything you see there will be in charge of reminding you. Imagine starting the day in the sophisticated Beverly Hills and continuing to Hollywood, strolling through Hollywood Boulevard with its legendary Chinese Theater and the famous Avenue of Stars, to end in Downtown. In case it’s not enough, how about if we go to Palm Springs? An oasis in the desert famous for its thermal springs is not found every day. We continue our trip to Las Vegas and it will be impossible not to stop at the Grand Canyon. A road along the southern shore will suffice to see one of the Wonders of the World, the result of millions of years of erosion, wind and water with impressive landscapes of shadows and impenetrable colors. From Las Vegas, nothing can be said that it is not already known; It is the city of lights and the Game Capital. If you want to see it, you have to live it!
San Francisco is the ideal destination to end, one of the most photographed, filmed and documented cities in the world with its seductive mix of history and modern sophistication. Built on hills, the city is the jewel of the magnificent bay at the foot of them.
